It is official: The CEO of British Petroleum (BP) Tony Hayward is leaving his position in October, and will be taking a new position with BP’s other business TNK-BP – a top oil company in Russia (as reported by the Associated Press).
Because no formal announcement has been made yet, someone from BP (who is close to this situation) has anonymously spoken to the Associated Press about Hayward’s departure.
Hayward’s plan to leave has been the topic of conversation all weekend. He is likely to be replaced by the man who has been managing the Oil Spill response, Bob Dudley.
Good luck in Russia, Tony. Remington Moving and Storage would be more than happy to facilitate your international move!
